“We are excited to welcome you to our community to support a cause close to our hearts. More than five million Americans are living with the disease, many in your own backyard. We couldn’t think of a better way to support this cause than a family friendly event beside Brecknock Hall,” said Gregory J. Garrett, EVP/administrator of health services. “We hope that you will join us in our fight to end Alzheimer’s.”

A panel of Peconic Landing members will help to judge the contest. Prizes will be awarded to cars in categories including "Most Original," "Best Paint," "Best Restoration," "Best in Show" and "Kids' Choice."

An awards ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. on the back steps of Brecknock Hall. The event will end with a car parade around the property and community center.

The Kick Alz Car Show will offer children an opportunity to join a judge as they walk around to cast their vote for the Kids' Choice Award.

Representatives from the Alzheimer's Association of Suffolk County will be in attendance to answer questions and share information about Alzheimer's, including support groups available at Peconic Landing.
