MATTITUCK, NY — The Mattituck Wizards delighted a crowd of cheering kids and parents at Mattituck High School Thursday night in an event hosted by the Mattituck Athletic Booster Club — with Mattituck staffers playing on the Kait's Angels team, in memory of Kaitlyn Doorhy.
The event was chaired by Jeanine Warns, vice president of the booster club.
"The night was amazing," said Darla Doorhy, Kaitlyn's mother.

The Harlem Wizards played for more than two hours against Mattituck High School staff, whose team donned Kait's Angels shirts— the team poured their hearts into playing in memory of Kaitlyn, a Mattituck High School graduate who died in 2014.
"Thank you to the staff of Mattituck High School for volunteering their time to play against the Harlem Wizards," Doorhy said. "Thank you to all of our volunteers. The night ran smoothly because of you."

She added, "I was chatting with Dr. Anne Smith, superintendent of Mattituck-Cutchogue Schools. I told her that all of our home basketball games should be heavily attended like this event. She replied, 'I agree.' Hats off to Jeanine Warns and the Mattituck Athletic Booster club for once again bringing the community together for an entertaining event."
