Power Outage Leaves Section Of Greenport In Dark
Village crews are out addressing the issue, Greenport Village Mayor George Hubbard says.

GREENPORT, NY — A power outage left part of Greenport without electricity Thursday night, according to Greenport Village Mayor George Hubbard.
The mayor said a tree in someone’s backyard on private property fell onto a primary feeder and shorted it out. Village crews cut the tree up and cleaned up the area, he said, adding that power would be restored very soon.
Hubbard said feeder #6 was impacted, affecting Fourth, Fifth and Six Streets, as well as part of Front Streets, where power had been out for about an hour.
