School Bus Rear-Ended In Cutchogue; No Students Aboard: Police
One driver was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, police say.
CUTCHOGUE, NY — A school bus was involved in an accident in Cutchogue Tuesday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 10:41 a.m. on Route 25. A Sunrise Bus Company school bus was traveling east and decelerated for traffic congestion; the bus was rear-ended by a 2020 Jeep Compass driven by a 19-year old, police said.
No students were onboard the bus at the time, police said.

Both drivers were evaluated for injuries; the driver of the Jeep was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center for further medical evaluation, police said.
