Incumbent Board of Education member Judi Fouchet ran unopposed for one empty seat on the Southold Board of Education and received 503 votes.
Fouchet and BOE president Paulette Ofrias said they were both a bit disappointed that voter turnout was low, but said the state imposed tax cap might discourage residents. Still, both said they were grateful to those that did vote to pass the budget.
The Southold Free Library budget also passed 464 to 102.
