Southold Town Helicopter Steering Committee to Host Forum This Month
The meeting will be discussing several issues contributing to the helicopter noise problem on the East End.

The Southold Town Helicopter Steering Committee will be hosting a forum later this month.
The meeting will take place on Saturday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Recreation Center on 970 Peconic Lane in Peconic.
The meeting will be discussing the effects of the changes to the flight policies at the East Hampton Airport made by the East Hampton Town Board this past summer, the ongoing legal proceedings, the status of recent complaints and a proposed flight path for the North Shore which would go around Plum Island, Councilman Bob Ghosio, liaison to the committee told Southoldlocal.

All are welcome to the meeting.
The committee was created last year in order to help the board to develop strategies and propose solutions for addressing the helicopter noise over the North Fork.
