Southold Town Opens Cooling Center

The cooling center will be open at the Peconic Community Center on Peconic Lane.

SOUTHOLD, NY — With scorching temperatures in the mid 90s expected Saturday, Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell has declared the opening of the Southold Town Cooling Center.

The cooling shelter will be open at its main shelter, located at the Peconic Community Center on Peconic Lane from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
