Southold Town Opens Warming Center As Temps Drop

NORTH FORK, NY — As the temperatures plummet due to a wind chill of up to -20 degrees Friday night, Southold Town has provided a warm, safe haven.
Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell and the town's office of emergency management opened a warming center at the Southold Town Community Center, located at 1170 Peconic Lane in Peconic, on Friday at 4 p.m.
The center will be open through Saturday, Feb. 4 at noon.
