Village Of Greenport To Hold Lottery For Bow Hunting In Moore's Woods

Deer hunters who want to bow hunt in Moore’s Woods can now enter the Village of Greenport’s lottery starting Wednesday, Oct. 1 until Dec. 31, The Suffolk Times reports.

A maximum of five permits will be issued to hunters to use the western end of the woods. Applicants do not have to be a resident of the village but must have a valid New York State hunting license and form of identification when filling out the form, according to The Suffolk Times.

Applications will be available at Greenport Village Hall on 236 Third Street.
