Village of Greenport Plans to File Lawsuit Against Power Plant Company
The company was hired to upgrade the power plant on Moore's Lane and since then there have been multiple power outages in the area.

Greenport Village Mayor George Hubbard announced at Thursday’s meeting that the Village plans to file a lawsuit against Genesys Engineering of Pelham, NY, for “design flaws in the engineering of the power plant,” according to a report in The Suffolk Times.
A few years ago, the company was hired to upgrade the 117-year-old power plant on Moore’s Lane, and since then, there have been several power outages in the area, according to the report.
After a three hour outage in July and an 11 hour outage in August 2014, several locals have questioned the condition of the plant, The Suffolk Times reports.
