Village Trustee Candidate Debate to Take Place Next Tuesday

The Village Trustee Candidate Debate will take place on Tuesday, March 10 at The Greenport United Methodist Church.

Local resident and business owner Rena Wilhelm will be moderating the event at the church located on 621 Main Street in Greenport.

The debate will start at 6 p.m. and go on until 9 p.m.

The four Village Trustee Candidates, Incumbent David Murray, Doug Roberts, Jack Martilotta and William Swiskey will be vying for the two available seats.

Residents can post their concerns on the event’s Facebook page to serve as the core of questions asked at the actual debate.

Locals can register to vote at Village Hall, located at 236 3rd Street on Thursday March 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday March 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
