Woman Crashes Into Telephone Pole In Southold, Charged With DWI: PD

SOUTHOLD, NY — A Southold woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after she crashed into a telephone pole Thursday afternoon, police said.

According to Southold Town police, the incident took place at 4:59 p.m. on Route 25. Heidi Craigue, 52, was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and struck the pole, police said.

Craigue was found to be under the influence of alcohol; she was arrested and charged with DWI, first offense, police said.

She was transported to Southold Town police headquarters for processing and held for arraignment, police said.
