100 Years From Now, All New People (Revised)

Photo essay on carpe diem themes, featuring before / after pictures of Huntington at the turn of the century.

A year ago I posted an article to Northport Patch from my blog, entitled "100 Years From Now, All New People." It's an exploration of carpe diem themes that features before / after pictures of Huntington circa 1900. The "after" pictures were taken by me. The article was popular with Patch readers (over 400 views within days), and many readers left very nice comments. However, the article linked to a 2nd page of pictures at the end, and I learned that many readers missed this. And so they missed out, for example, on seeing what once stood on the corner now occupied by Starbucks, or that a church once stood in the middle of what is now Clinton Avenue, right next to Rosa's Pizza. So to help make the layout clearer, I merged the two pages into one. Even if you recall seeing this post before, I hope you revisit. The article is HERE. And if you like it, please check out my blog's HOME PAGE for other articles you might also enjoy - movies, politics, memoir, short stories, whatever. Thank you.
