3 Elwood Students Participate In PEAK Fest
The exceptional student-musicians were selected to participate in the recent 15th annual SCMEA Parents, Educators and Kids Festival.

ELWOOD, NY — Three exceptional music students from Elwood’s James H. Boyd Intermediate School — Ayana Babar, Madelyn DiLeone and Melanie Shek — were selected to participate in the recent 15th annual SCMEA Parents, Educators and Kids Festival, held at Northport High School, the Elwood School District announced.
The PEAK Festival is an exciting musical day for fourth graders throughout Suffolk County. With the assistance of teachers, students combine their talents and passions through different educational activities throughout the day. For the Boyd students, these included folk dance, ukulele, singing games and choir. The festival culminated in a large performance with all students.
"I am so proud of the enthusiasm and energy these three brought to the day, and will certainly be participating again in the future," Boyd music teach Rachel Nagle said in a news release.
