31 AP Scholars From Elwood HS Recognized By College Board

ELWOOD, NY — Honoring their diligent academic efforts, 31 current Elwood-John H. Glenn High School students were named AP Scholars for 2023 by the College Board, the Elwood School District announced.

The Advanced Placement Program recognizes several different award levels for college-level student academic achievement on AP courses and exams.

Twelve seniors – Nina Abrenica, Jenna Ban, Aidan Hanratty, Peter Kenney, Lilli Kern, Kainaat Malhi, Addison Perinchief, Nicole Robin, Luke Umstetter, Louis Viteritti, Mattias Weber and Maryam Yassir –were named AP Scholars, granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.

Five seniors – Sean Faraci, Mary Fratarcangeli, Madelyn Katzman, Erin Kenny and Chloe Suskin – were named AP Scholars with Honor, granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

Fourteen seniors – Anthony Bell, Elizabeth Clarke, Sarah Collins, Daniel Elling, James Froh, Lauren LaMena, Meghan McGowan, Caroline Mullman, Benjamin Ross, Christopher Sanelli, Angelina Song, Andrew Taraglia, Nicole Wang and Stephen Wasylenko – were named AP Scholars with Distinction, granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

"Our students have demonstrated tremendous dedication and hard work, and we couldn’t be more excited to honor them.
