Arrest Log: Officers Bust Drug Deal in Northport

At 12:21 a.m., a 48-year-old Kings Park woman was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation after she was pulled over for a rear light violation on Fort Salonga Road.

At 4:37 p.m., John Mealy, 45, of Brooklyn, was arrested for third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana after officers observed a hand-to-hand exchange in a known drug location on Woodbine Avenue.

A 37-year-old Northport man was also arrested following this exchange and was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
