Arrest Log: Teen Burglar Steals Motor Bike, DWI Arrest

Monday, Nov. 30
A 52-year-old Northport man was arrested for leaving the scene of an incident and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended registration on Woodbine Avenue.

Thursday, Dec. 3
At 1:06 a.m., a 22-year-old East Northport man was arrested for seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Laurel Avenue.

Friday, Dec. 4
At 5:30 p.m., Jose Perez, 16, of Huntington Station was arrested for third degree burglary after he stole a Suzuki RM 65 motor bike from a Maple Avenue home, police said.
Earlier that day, police saw the teen riding a dirt bike eastbound on Main Street at 3:56 a.m. with no lights or helmet while carrying a BMX bicycle on his back. The teen told police he picked up his bicycle from a friend’s house and was returning home. The boy also said he was at his friend’s house several days ago and that his friend was aware he would be picking it up. Police warned the teen of his actions and he left in the custody of his father.
A few hours later, a Maple Avenue homeowner notified police at 10:05 a.m. that someone entered his garage and stole the dirt bike, valued at $700. The juvenile was located and arrested later that day.
At 11:15 p.m., two men were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after four men were found smoking in the gazebo on Constitution Square.
