Bacteria Closes Two Northport Beaches
Steers Beach in Northport and Prices Bend Beach in Eaton's Neck were closed to bathers on Monday.
The Suffolk Department of Health Services closed two Northport area beaches on Monday.
Health Services Commissioner James L. Tomarken declared in Northport and in Eaton's Neck closed to bathers because of higher than acceptable bacterial levels.
Steers Beach was also on June 16.
