Connecticut School Shooting Sparks Gun Control Debates. What About Mental Health?

Connecticut School Shooting Sparks Gun Control Debates. What About Mental Health?

I believe one of the biggest failures in our society is the neglect of mental health care. We have mentally unstable, homeless men and women sleeping on the street and people just walk over them. I was so proud of my famous NYPD brother who bought boots and socks for a homeless man on the street.
The person who shot all these innocent people must have had some mental issues. It breaks my heart to think of the victims and their families who were affected by this senseless act. Health care is important, but mental heath care is just as important.
All I hear in the news is how we are going to have to make changes to gun laws and add more school security. I don't hear anything about the history of this criminal's mental health. It seem pretty obvious to me that this person was mentally unstable, and he must have fallen through the cracks.
Changes need to be made and mental health care need to be updated in this country to prevent more senseless acts of violence.
