THE KING & I Opens to Raves!

THE KING & I Today, Saturday Nov. 17 matinee added at 2 pm, also tonite at 8 and tomorrow (Sunday) at 2. Don't Miss It!

The Northport-E. Northport Community Theater opened its 22nd production, THE KING & I, last night to an almost-sold out audience and rave reviews!  Despite the challenges presented by Sandy, the nor’easter, gas lines, etc., etc., etc., the audience was treated to an extraordinary performance by the talented and energetic cast (the March of the Royal Siamese children being only the first of the shows many delights—Miss Anna captivating, The King remarkably dynamic, the sets divine, the costumes magical, the live orchestra pit amazing, etc., etc., etc.)

In an effort to make up for lost performances, an additional Saturday matinee performance today, Saturday November 17 at 2 p.m. has been added to shows scheduled for tonight at 8 p.m. and tomorrow, Sunday, at 2 p.m.  Doors open one hour before show times with our Ancient Siam Exotic Bazaar featuring light refreshments and entertainment in the gymnasium across from the auditorium.  Good old-fashioned fun but with an exotic twist!
Come on down and be part of the excitement; support this fine theater which is a community enterprise in every sense of the word featuring a pit of live orchestra members and cast, stage sets, direction, costumes and choreography by talented Long Island residents.
As a token of appreciation to St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Northport (which kindly hosted many rehearsals due to post-storm conditions), donations to the Ecumenical Lay Council FOOD PANTRY will be collected at every performance. The theater is requesting that, along with the cast and crew, audience members bring donations of canned and dry goods that will benefit the FOOD PANTRY as supported by St. Paul’s.
