Brownstones Coffee to Open in East Northport

EAST NORTHPORT, NY - A popular breakfast and lunch spot on Long Island is coming to East Northport.

Brownstones Coffee will open its second Long Island location at 361 Larkfield Road, which is Friendly’s former location.

After seeing plenty of success in Amityville, Brownstones is looking to spread its franchise to the North Shore and even New Jersey. The company’s website says a Ramsey, NJ, location is “coming soon.”

Brownstones has received several recognitions in the news. The establishment was named the “Breakfast Capitol” of the Town of Babylon, named the “Best Coffee Shop on Long Island” in 2013, featured nationally on Zagat, featured on primetime television shows and much more.

The Amityville spot, located at 55 Merrick Road, has been closed down since a fire in August. The coffee shop says it will rebuild and reopen as soon as possible.

In the meantime, Long Islanders can look forward to a second location in East Northport. Brownstones says they are working on renovations and hope to open their new store in a few months.
