For ten years, John has been welcoming people into John's Crazy Socks, not just to see a business, but to feel what it's built on. More than 4,000 people have taken a tour with him. Now, with our new home in Huntington Village, we're opening the doors again, and we want you to come. Take a tour with John.

Why We Give Tours

John's Crazy Socks has never been just a place that sells socks. We are on a mission to spread happiness and show what people with different abilities can do. Our tours are an integral part of that mission.

Mark X. Cronin, co-founder and John’s father, said, "It is important that people with different abilities see people like themselves owning and working in a business."

That's a big part of why these tours matter. For a visitor with a differing ability, walking through our fulfillment center and seeing a team of Sock Wranglers working hard is empowering. It gives them confidence that they too can find a job they love or maybe own their own business.

And for everyone else, it's a chance to see a mission-driven business from the inside. People can see why hiring people with differing abilities is not charity, but good business.

There's a second reason, simpler but no less true: it's fun. It's a good afternoon. And it gives more people a reason to discover our little store in the heart of Huntington Village.

What a Tour Looks Like

Every tour, whether it's a family walking in off Main Street or a school group that planned their visit for weeks, follows the same path, led personally by John:

• A welcome in our conference room
• A short introductory video about who we are
• A walk through our fulfillment area, where our Sock Wranglers pick and pack every order
• A hands-on demonstration of exactly how an order comes together
• A tour of the retail store itself
• A screening of Sock Guys, our short documentary film
• A Q&A with John — ask him anything
• Photos with John, because you'll want proof you were there

Every guest leaves with a sticker, a certificate ("I Toured with John") and a discount card to use in the store or online. And if you'd like to keep browsing after your tour, the store is right there waiting.

How to Join a Tour

Walk-in tours run every Wednesday and Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Space is limited to 10 people, first come, first served.

Group tours for schools, social service agencies, work groups, or companies: these scheduled tours run Tuesday through Thursday and are arranged in advance so we can make sure John and the space are ready for you.
