Here are some of the incidents Northport Police responded to recently. None of the defendants has been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints in the report are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

While at Huntington Hospital on a prior case on Nov. 4, A Northport police officer was notified that a person was shooting heroin in the bathroom. Upon investigation the person and contraband was located and turned over to Suffolk County Police for processing.
Police responded to a call from a woman on Main Street on Nov. 4 who said someone smeared dog feces on her residence. The woman said that when she returned home she saw animal feces on her window and door. Seeing the feces, police determined there to be no damage and that it could be removed by simple cleaning methods. The woman filed a report for informational purposes only.

A Lloyd Neck woman was arrested on Hillside Place for first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, aggravated driving while intoxicated, suspended registration, and resisting arrest on Nov. 5.
A Northport man was arrested for fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana on Nov. 7.
