Cops: Criminal Possession of A Weapon, DWI

Some of the incidents Northport Police responded to recently.

Here are some of the incidents Northport Police responded to recently. None of the defendants has been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below.

  • A Northport woman, 55, was arrested on Nov. 18 for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say a Northport woman was spotted driving east on Fort Salonga Road when she failed to maintain her lane at the intersection of Sandy Hollow Road. When police stopped the car, police found the woman in possession of “numerous prescription medication, which were controlled substances” without proper containers or prescriptions.
  • A Greenlawn man was arrested on Nov. 19 after police positively identified him as the petit larceny suspect viewed on CVS surveillance video on the prior day.
  • A Kings Park woman, 44, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident on Nov. 19.
  • A 49-year-old Northport man on Edgaret Place was arrested for second-degree assault, menacing, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and petit larceny on Nov. 20.
