Cops: Man Bought Apple Store Gift Cards with Stolen ID in Huntington Station

Cash reward offered for information that leads to an arrest, police say.

Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man who stole a person’s identity to buy gift cards at a Huntington Station store in May, authorities said Tuesday.

Suffolk police say a man purchased $1,500 worth of gift cards using another person’s credit card and information at the Apple Store at 160 Walt Whitman Road on May 12.

The man was described as wearing a black T-shirt, tan pants, black sneakers and a black and red Atlanta Braves hat, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
