Cops: Man Tried Recording Woman in Huntington Station Fitting Room

Incident occurred at a department store on Walt Whitman Road, police say.

Suffolk County Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and finding the man they say recorded a woman in a dressing room at a department store at 350 Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station.

Detectives say that on Friday, at approximately 7:25 p.m., a woman was changing in a department store fitting room when she saw a person insert a recording device underneath the door while she was dressing. Police say the incident occurred at Nordstrom Rack and the man used a cell phone to try to record the woman, Newsday reported.

The woman followed the man through the store to try to stop him from fleeing. He exited the store and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The man is described as in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall.
