This Dickinson Avenue Elementary School student already has an impressive fashion designer career.

This East Northport fashion designer may be only 8 years old, but her creations have already been on display at New York City Fashion Week.

Lia Edlin Miller, a student at Dickinson Avenue Elementary School, began taking sewing lessons after she was inspired by the television show “Project Runway.”

Miller participated in a young designer’s competition where she created pieces using Crayola crayon wrappers for New Jersey Fashion week. She was then invited to participate in a children’s showcase at New York Fashion Week in February.
