East Northport Halloween Bake Sale Sets Fundraising Record

All proceeds will go to the Northport Food Pantry.

The Perles sisters began a local Halloween bake sale 11 year ago in front of their East Northport home. Each year, they have seen their bake sale grow into a large community event.

Dylan, 17, Zoe, 15, and Kyra, 10, worked to make this year’s bake sale the best year yet.

They lined up tons of baked goodies outside their house on Kalmia Street on Halloween and raised a record-setting amount of funds to go to the Northport Food Pantry. They raised a total of $2,300, which will be brought to the food pantry on Election Day.

The sisters spent the past few weeks making signs with their friends to spread news of the bake sale around town. Then, the girls, their mom, grandma and friends began baking massive amounts of goodies.

The bake sale offered pies, pumpkin bread, corn bread, brownies, halloween cookies, cupcakes, muffins, halloween-shaped rice krispie treats, apple cider, hot chocolate, a “decorate your own cupcake” table and a popcorn machine and a cotton candy machine that were donated by a local business.
