East Northport Middle School Students Honored for Drug-prevention Efforts
The volunteers were recognized recently by the Drug & Alcohol Task Force.

East Northport Middle School students were recently recognized by the Drug & Alcohol Task Force for volunteering to participate in the Cow Harbor Day Parade.
“We are proud of our students who are getting involved and helping the community gain awareness on the issues surrounding drugs and alcohol,” Principal Pat DeStefano said.

Many other students were also involved with recovery, awareness and prevention week efforts. The students were focused on spreading the word about prevention- with posters, contests and other activities to disperse information.
