The money was supposed to help purchase a wheelchair accessible van for a teen with Cerebral Palsy.

An East Northport woman was convicted on Friday for stealing more than $30,000 in charity money, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Myles was previously convicted of scheme to defraud in 2004 after she made unauthorized purchases of Bermuda cruise tickets, worth $40,000, using 19 credit card numbers she took from her job, the DA reports. The account holders were reportedly charged for the purchases.
Myles faces a maximum prison sentence of 3 ½ to 7 years at her sentencing on Wednesday, Sept. 2. Spota said the office will recommend the maximum prison sentence.
