Elwood High School Students Earn Suffolk Zone Award
Students are selected for excellent achievement in physical education, outstanding character and leadership in school-wide activities.

ELWOOD, NY — Mario Bento and Grace Motta, seniors at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School, were recently selected as the winners of this year’s Suffolk Zone Awards, the district announced.
Bento is a member of the varsity football team, winning All-County honors this season.
Motta, an AP Scholar and member of the varsity girls soccer and track teams, won a Hispanic Heritage Student Achievement Award scholarship. Both students earned summa cum laude designation for achieving a weighted GPA between 96.50 and 100.

The Suffolk Zone Chapter of the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance annually gives awards to one male and one female student in each Suffolk high school.
