Elwood Kick-Starts Upcoming School Year at Orientation
Incoming sixth graders received Google Chromebooks they will be using for the upcoming school year.
Students in the Elwood School District got a sneak peek into what the upcoming school year will be like at an orientation on Tuesday.
Students learned about the building procedures, received their class schedule, interacted with fellow classmates, met the faculty and learned about the extracurricular activities held at the school.
The orientation was held for soon-to-be third graders at James H. Boyd Intermediate School, sixth graders at Elwood Middle School and ninth graders at Elwood-John H. Glenn High School.

“This school provides all kinds of opportunities for you and our hope is that you take advantage of them,” Elwood-John H. Glenn High School Interim Principal Dr. James Ruck said to the students.
Incoming third grade and ninth grade students were given a tour of their school buildings led by upperclassmen while the sixth graders received the Google Chromebooks they will be using for the rest of the year.
