Elwood Student-Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
Several graduating seniors have decided to take their academic and athletic careers to the next level.
Twelve student-athletes from Elwood-John H. Glenn High School signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.
To celebrate their accomplishments, parents, coaches and district administrators gathered Monday to honor the students’ dedication and commitment to their sport and to continuing their academic careers.
David Shanahan, director of athletics and physical education, advised the students to make the most of the college experience and to stick with it until graduation, build relationships and network and use the morals and values instilled by their parents and the educational system to make good decisions. As each student was called to the front, their coach shared examples of the student’s accomplishments and hard work on the field or court.
