Elwood Student Honored Alongside Fellow Suffolk County Valedictorians

At Elwood-John H. Glenn High School, Trevor Lochan stood out from the rest to become the class of 2015 valedictorian.

The high school senior recently joined students across Suffolk County who are just like him. The students, who will graduate at the top of their respective class, were honored for their academic excellence at a valedictorian luncheon.

Valedictorians from all across Suffolk County and their families attended the Suffolk County School Superintendents’ Association Valedictorian Luncheon.

The Islip High School Jazz ensemble performed at the luncheon.

The 50 valedictorians were congratulated by:

• Dr. Roberta A. Gerold, SCSSA president and Middle Country School District superintendent of schools
• Susan A. Schnebel, SCSSA president-elect and Islip School District superintendent of schools
• Dr. Charles T. Russo, SCSSA vice president and East Moriches School District superintendent of schools
• Lars Clemensen, SCSSA secretary and Hampton Bays School District superintendent of schools.
