Level 2 Sex Offender Now Lives in Elwood, Superintendent Says
"In an effort to safeguard the wellbeing of our children, we want our parents and staff to have this information," Peter Scordo said.
The Elwood Union Free School District informed parents and staff Wednesday that a level 2 sex offender is now living in Elwood.

“Good Afternoon, We have been notified that a level 2 sex offender is now living in Elwood. In an effort to safeguard the wellbeing of our children and pursuant to Board Policy 5450.1, we want our parents and staff to have this information.

Please remember that the information must be used responsibly. According to the New York State Criminal Justice website: “Anyone who uses this information to harass or commit a criminal act against any person may be subject to criminal prosecution.”

The sex offender’s information can be found here. Jeremiah Chandler, 31, was convicted of first degree sexual abuse in 2004.
