As we celebrated this 100th Year of Women's Right to Vote; New York State is still in arrears in ensuring that Equality of Earnings for Women is legislated in New York State Code, aka the McKinney's Law Books of NYS. As women technically are not equal in New York State; as Head of Household's we do not have statutory recognition of property rights and is some counties in NYS-Women are being discriminated against by Judicial. Suffolk County Supreme is one of the offenders in New York State. Case Law and Statutory Law's are different-and as NYS recognized their injustice; taken part as the Employer-in providing Women with discriminatory or illegal Employment Contracts-NYS agreed to make good in providing these women with Retroactive Earnings for work performances accomplished. This Legislative Act was enacted in 2014-but procedural measures have yet to be fulfilled granting women entitled because they already earned it their due Employment Compensation.

As NYS is At-Will Employer-and Legislative Staff are not Union State Employees; Legislation implemented must transpire to correct ills of bad Employment Contracts. It's 2020; Women have waited 7 Years for their Employment Earnings to be issued-that is outrageous and unacceptable Employment Practices as NYS as the Employer (the Largest Employer for State Workforce) must meet compliance issues. Governor Cuomo has had 7 years to include Women who are these Earners in the State Budget and he has chosen not too. In my opinion, as a Tenured State Legislative Servant Entitled for retroactive earnings to be provided-the Governor continues to use the excuse-it's not the right fiscal time to issue Earnings! Excuse me?!-What are you talking about, Governor-as the Office of the Governor received a $40,000 increase in its base salary prior to your 2014 Acknowledgement that Women State Staff who already earned be issued these wages. Male State Staffers with the NYS Legislature-have not waited 7 years for corrective Legislation to issue their earnings.

The Governor and I have been employed with NYS-during multiple State of Emergency Orders (HIV-AIDs, H1n1) and under his father's administration, the Late Mario Cuomo; Governmental Employees were treated better-and we didn't need to plea consistently for NYS to right wrongdoing they acknowledged, said Maryann Maltese. Maryann is a tenured State Legislative Employee who is entitled to retroactive earnings NYS owes her. Maryann held Two Employment Titles amongst male colleagues and was inadequately, intentionally discriminated against - paid 50-60% less for her public service to New Yorkers and Members of the Legislature. In 2015; Maryann consulted with Legal Counsel and was advised that Legislative Action is necessary to implement her outstanding wages-earnings; it's 2020 Suffolk County. Maryann is due retroactive earnings for her 18 years of service and the Legislature has the absolute ability before years end to override the Governor by 2/3 virtual vote if Session can not be in person.

This is the year of Equality for Women-the year that Women were granted the right to Vote and with that permitted Women to run for Elective Offices. Suffolk County for 40-50 years in my community has voted against Women's Rights at large; including the Right to Equality of Earnings. Maryann has 33 years of Campaign Management Experiences; lives in Huntington Township and is the Head of Household as a Home Owner in Suffolk.

It's imperative that NYS not be irresponsible any further in delaying my issuance of prior earnings-by doing so they are "choke holding me" intentionally which is ignorance at the highest level. State Actuary Findings demonstrate my earnings entitlement-NYS is required to adhere as the Legislature was my Employer. This year-additionally; Suffolk County Supreme Court decided not to "hear my election law case"; Maltese v. Cuomo and NYS Board of Elections; 2020-01568.

Now, NYS is sitting on issuance once again of my rightful earnings-what does that say to the Women of Suffolk County who are the Head of Households and I'm a Tenured employee of the NYS Legislature? It saids to me; a Political Scientist Scholar (UFT-Queens College), 33 years of experience plus plus, that if I allow NYS to ignore this again-as in waiting for the next legislative class of 2021 to review it again-after 7 years have already commenced-I'm doing myself and other women of NYS injustice-that is unacceptable within Public Officer Oath and Rules of Law-Governor.

As 2020 State Budget for Women has already occurred in April 2020; the right to choice and the generic language of women's earnings are existent. But women's earning's claims were once again-not included to settle State Debts! NYS is in Debt to me as the Employer-Now is the time to implement the necessary language to issue my outstanding earnings-instead of once again-holding my earnings or other women's outstanding earnings hostile for future votes.

It is not necessary or required to be implemented in 2021-it's required to occur before Year's End and by doing so-Women in NYS will have Equality of Earnings Law within NYS. Women are equal in their lives; when we control our destiny and every day budget. This is not a Pro-choice matter-but the Leadership (Governor) is holding my earnings hostile to keep his agenda in view-that's not in my or other women's best interests who are entitled to retroactive earnings. Has the Governor waited ever in his employment with NYS for his earnings?! No-Governor Cuomo has not-the raise took implementation in 2018-I'm out of public service as of 2013.

Women this year-Implementation Measures before the end of 2020-there is no issue! Do you agree?

Join me in encouraging-by demanding the Governor Implement-Enact, Sign the Maltese Equality of Earnings Law 2020-to give women of NYS-Equality of Earnings. NOW.

Post here-and send the Governor, League of Women Voters of NYS-Members of the State Legislature emails every day inquiring When does NYS-Equality of Earnings Law get signed?

If there are any questions; you can reach Maltese @ Maryann@cowharborrealty.com.
