SAFETY FIRST

Two Important Safety Points: 

1. On offense: The ball carrier cannot dive or hurdle to advance the ball. Penalty: Leaving the Feet - 5 yards - loss of down. 

Appropriate footwear: sneakers or rubber cleats. Hard plastic and metal/steel cleats are not permitted for safety reasons.

Please familiarize your child with the concept of 'head-on-a-swivel' where players are constantly scanning left and right as they pursue the runner. By always being aware of their immediate surroundings players can reduce the chances of inadvertent collisions.

Promoting sun protection

With little or no shade at the field we recommend that parents apply sunscreen rated not less than spf 30.

Water

Consider using environmentally friendly reusable water bottles.

North Shore Youth Flag Football

To teach the fundamentals of football in a safe, low-pressure, fun, friendly environment.

Sportsmanship and full participation are all mandatory.

Sportsmanship is an aspiration or attitude that a sport or activity will be enjoyed with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship with one's competitors.

Full Participation refers to giving every child the opportunity to play every position with the goal of letting them achieve some measure of success.

We meet once a week.  There are no practices.

5 years old to 14 years old
