NORTHPORT, NY—Free skin cancer screenings conducted by board-certified dermatologists from Huntington Hospital Northwell Health will be available at Crab Meadow Beach on Saturday, June 15 and Saturday, July 13.
Crab Meadow Beach is located at the north end of Waterside Avenue, Northport. The free screenings will be performed on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on both dates. No appointment is needed. Participants are advised to arrive appropriately dressed, as there is no changing area (swimwear, bikinis, swim trunks, flip flops, sandals).
"Getting a skin cancer screening is very important for your health," Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci stated via press release. "It is always a good idea to get your skin checked. I thank Huntington Hospital Northwell Health for collaborating with the Town to provide this critical prevention service for free."
