ICYMI: Northport High School Wins 'Best Musical' Hunting-Tony Award

NORTHPORT, NY — Northport High School's rendition of "Urinetown: The Musical" took home the Hunting-Tony for "Best Musical" this year, the Northport-East Northport School District announced in a news release.

The school's win was announced during last week's award ceremony. The victory reflects the hard work of the school's talented musicians, actors, actresses, set producers and costume designers. All of the musical theatre students worked together to create the hilarious and poignant musical earlier this year, the district stated.
