Is Your Child's Car Seat Safe?
Free car inspections set for Monday, June 30, by appointment only.
Car seats are mandatory for little ones, but three out of four car seats are used incorrectly, authorities say.
Suffolk County Police and certified technicians from EAC Network, whose mission includes providing programs and services that protect children, are holding a free car-seat inspection on Monday, June 30, at KK Athletics Indoor Sports, 755 Horseblock Road in Farmingville, from 4-7 p.m.
These experts will not only inspect car seats on-site to but also provide parents with essential information about child passenger safety.

A limited number of booster seats will be distributed free of charge.

Funding for the program is provided by the New York State Traffic Safety Committee. The program is also backed by One More for Jesus, a church in Farmingville.
