​Knights​ ​Host Free-throw Contest​ ​

Local winners will ultimately compete ​in the NY State finals​ which will be​ held at West Point in April.

The Fr. Judge Knights of Columbus Council hosted
their annual basketball Free-
throw contest on Monday,
January 8th at St. Anthony of Padua/Trinity Regional School Gym located at 1025 5th Avenue, East Northport. The contest was open to boys and girls of all faiths ages 9 to 14.

Each contestant competed
in their age group and
threw fifteen free throws. Winners for each age group advanced to the District
level contest to be held
February 12th, same place,
same time. After making it through the district and regional levels, the winners will ultimately compete in
the NY State finals which will be held at West Point in April.

The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic family fraternal service organization with over 1.8 million members in 15,000 local councils. Last year , Knights donated over 70 million volunteer hours and $170 million to charitable and benevolent causes, sponsoring projects to benefit their church, councils, communities, culture of life, families and youth.
