Legalization Aspects of Pot outweigh Women's Equality of Earnings
Governor signs law including additional aspects for legalizing pot-beyond Medical usage permission in NYS-But women are without earnings.

After Election Day; on November 4, 2020; Governor Andrew Cuomo signs law reducing penal and civil penalties for Marijuana usage and or code enforcement-but the Governor thus far-has not taken the lead in 2020 to ensure that Women have implementation measures for Equality of Earnings. It's good to see the Governor back to signing off on legislation into Law-Congratulations!
I supported the Legalization of Marijuana over the years; as medical usage was difficult to pass at times because of the cost factors of implementation measures needed to be considered. Supporters in the NYS Assembly of Legalization of Marijuana-(Me working for several) we were steadfast in ensuring that various or new administrations were educated and understood the reasons for supporting the measure. Stressing who and where support is for the causes-this process remains the same for Equality of Earnings Implementation rules. Long Island is diverse-with large rural and urban communities making employment offerings scarce at times-pushing the need for women to be much more clearer on their employment contracts and rights to equality of earnings. This years' Marijuana bill signing continues New York's commitment to reducing criminal possession penalties as well as civil fines for recreational aspects.
However, this Law signing once again demonstrates where Women stand on matters that are important to them-so far at the bottom of NYS's calendar year; as Equality of Earnings for outstanding claims is a fragment of suggestive implementation measures-but we must ensure present day earnings/wages are equal legislatively in NYS.

It's the 100th Anniversary year of Women's Rights and not one piece of legislation has been signed this year to enhance our Civil Rights in New York State. Women; need to know how and where they can file employment claims seeking review on employment challenges and the process defined-so Women can expedite claims. Equality of Earnings Case Law has not defined these aspects for Women in the Public Sector-only State Legislative changes or new language can correct what is missing as the most vitally important aspects which fall within the parameters of the 19th Amendment.
This is an open editorial message to Governor Andrew Cuomo-When will the Women of NYS be a priority? It wasn't before the Marijuana Bill Signing-Why?

Editorials by the Governor and or Press releases once again advising New Yorkers that it's a tough legislative budget season is not the answer any further. Men in the workforce-have not needed to wait as long as women have waited for a claim process to be implemented when it is clear human violation of law exists; acknowledgement of such publicized already by NYS, but NYS has not provided a process as the largest At-Will Employer of NYS for those to proceed. Does that make sense at all? No-it's the worse Frame work we have implemented for the Women's Cause in NYS.
The Legalization of Marijuana-has had a long journey-not as long as Women have asked for Equality of Earnings and waiting once again until Budgetary cost factors to implement these rights-is no longer a justifiable answer.
Equality of Earnings Processes should be top priority for the Women of NYS-2020. As I'm not presently in State public service; out of service 7 years-I have every right to ask the Governor and Members of the NYS Legislature to step up and implement the procedures. By not doing this-it's once again pushing women who were wage earners or employed by NYS; for what is duly their earnings into unprecedented poverty levels-asking us as a Class-to wait longer for earnings of performance that is rightfully ours. Implementation of Equality of Earnings-will be the catalyst to ensure that present day rules-a process for women to be educated on employment contracts is required-and a process if this procedure is violated by corporate or governmental employment sectors. Without the NYS Legislature taking this serious the remainder of the 2020 Session-we in NYS are simply closing our eyes sprinkling a little pixie dust-and waiting.
Proactive measures-Implementation aspects NOW (New Opportunities for Women) and advocacy from our Supporters that this Pledge-Equality of Earnings will not be silenced-but Implemented in 2020. Then Pixie Dust or Grand New Year's Eve Sparkle will illuminate Women's Agenda.
