At the Library: Blood Drive at Northport Public Library on 12/17

The Library will host a blood drive held by Long Island Blood Services.

Did you know every donation saves three lives? The Library will host a blood drive held by Long Island Blood Services. Eligible blood donors include those people at least age 16 (with parental permission), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and are in good health. People older than 75 may donate with a doctor’s note. Donors must eat well (low fat) and drink fluids that day. At the time of donation, you must present ID with signature or photo. This program is open to everyone who meets the qualifications. Call 1-800-688-0900 for donor eligibility questions. Walk-ins are welcome.
