Long Islanders "Stand Up for Life" in Huntington!

South Huntington- Around 500 or so defenders of life from Long Island churches, Hibernians and Knights of Columbus turned out to support today's "Stand Up for Life" event on Route 110 in Huntington. The silent and peaceful line stretched along Route 110 & Jericho Turnpike all the way to the Melville Mall near Northern State Pkwy (see photos below).

Participants prayed silently as passing cars showed their support by blowing their horns and shouting encouragement. By my count only a few of the hundreds of vehicles passing shouted expletives and negative remarks.

All in all, it was a great day for Life!
