Maryann Maltese, Former Regional Manager of Communications with the NYS Legislature calls out Governor Cuomo's top female aides; Melissa DeRosa and Stephanie Benton to explain why consistent communications forwarded to the Governor's Scheduler concerning the need for (Maltese) Equality of Earnings be introduced and Enacted this 100th Anniversary Year of the Women's Movement.

In NYS, as NYS Public Officers of the NYS Legislature within our Oaths of Office; once we place each other on notice on an issue that requires immediate attention or when one of us learns of harm intentionally carried out within our service of office-it's required to respond with an action plan. COVID 19 Parameters of State of Emergency Orders do not exempt us from this requirement, said Maryann Maltese.

The Governor ran on the Women's Equality Platform in 2014 (WEP) and won with our support. Women came together and supported the Governor in his re-election bid for Govenor. Cuomo's 2014 Promises within the Women's Agenda was to ensure that Equality of Earnings would be relentlessly addressed whethe implementation of a prevailing wage claim or implementation of retroactive wage claims would be enacted. It's 2020 DeRosa and Benton; Retroactive Legislative Bill language to correct injustices for Women of the NYS Legislature have not been enacted. When a NYS Public Officer-active or inactive places the Legislature on notice (me), seeking internal review of salary administered-communication of receipt of such is required. Governor-where is your response-Does DeRosa or Benton have it?

As a Semi-Retired Top Aide myself- once I place any office within 3 Branches on notice a response of that particular issue (Equality of Earnings) should be acknowledged to ease the former or present Employees mind-then there are no stalking concerns. I'm not a Stalker at all-I'm placing you on Public Notice here too. Within 30 days-if my previous Employment Claim is valid-as evidence is provided and internal review demonstrates my claim-Implementation of Retroactive bill language to correct it with signing into Law is required by the State Constitution and Public Oath of Office. My request is not that I have not received a COLA allowance; it's review of the entire employment earnings provided and the lack of employment earnings for employment responsibilities held-Two Employment Titles-but not equal earnings of such while in service.

The Promise that Cuomo made in 2014-where is the process for a claimant like me to proceed? The Process has not transpired for Women Public Officers within the NYS Legislature.

Stalking is a relative word-As Public Officers we don't stalk-we get to the bottom of the matter and implementation of resolves. It's been 7 Legislative Sessions Governor since 2014-how much Public Notice do you need-this is the 100th Anniversary Year of the Women's movement. Equality of Earnings is our mission-implementation of it-not rhetoric of slogan.

Regardless of COVID 19-it's the year to make Equality of Earnings the end result of what your claiming in your new Book and your administration is claiming as a successful Legislative year-it's not too late Governor for it to truly be a successful 2020. I'm right here on the Patch-or by email where we can virtually communicate within social distancing requirements(thank goodness for Zoom) quite capable of speaking to you as an Equal within our Field to get this done.

Governor-It's time for Justice Andrew; the book is done-the probes are over-where there was no outline in place for 2 branches of the Legislature to deal with Employee concerns or our rights-pushing many of us actively not in service (but in good standing) to use our own retirement accounts to supplement our lives as earnings for employment titles held were not market rate for Several females within the Legislature. Many of us who excelled in work performances-NEVER received annual raises within our tenure of service but women within the Legislature have consistently signed employment contracts with the understanding that the Leadership will make better on the promise. The Promise of Equality of Earnings prevailing or retroactive Governor. We trusted the process Governor because our NYS Public Officer Oaths required it-and we have financial obligations outside the legislature.

Now-is the time Andrew; not another Legislative Session later for many of us who have already waited. You, Governor, can not balance the cost of the probes or parameters of COVID 19 on Female Public Officer backs-we are the ones who performed work excellence and we're due retroactive bill language to correct it. Women Legislative Public Officers who have the same fact pattern as me; Employment titles held without earnings with work excellence- who are due outstanding back earnings-our Bill-Equality of Earnings must be passed immediately. This is a pressing matter Governor.

I placed the Governor's office-where is the Bill Language-as a remedy must be completed immediately due to the nature of my notice as a former employee of NYS and our mutual Oaths of Office? Where is the acknowledgement by your office of receipt of my request? As I'm not in Service at the Moment-I'm 100% allowed to Communicate with you, as well as the OMCE and where is the response? This is an open request to DeRosa and Benton-I'm a 18.5 year NYS Public Officer-Ladies-you're both reaching tenure as well soon-when do you answer? Did you see the emails?-they are date stamped-I have a copy too. Congratulate the Governor on his new Book-are we finally back to work on other matters-including retroactive bill languages for Governmental Legislative Employees of the NYS Legislature- we're the ones without Justice-and if this continues where NYS doesn't implement legislative changes needed-Inactive or Active Staff will be the ones on the welfare lines soon-is that what NYS wants for it's workforce? Where is the Leadership for us?

It's an open Question for DeRosa and Benton-you are permitted to communicate-yes? Reminder ladies; I hold Title within the Legislative Branches for being the Leader on a Member or Member's teams where they received 72-76% approval ratings for more than one election in a swing margin. I don't believe any one has out thrown me yet in NYS-but if they have-send me the percentages it will be wonderful to learn how they followed my lead and just how relevant the bill language will be for the (Maltese) Equality of Earnings law enactment. I'm one of the cases for the basis of New York State's Equality of Earnings Law-do you agree or not-and why?
