Maltese discusses her Background and Budget Promises for 2021

Maryann Maltese, Democratic-Independent Candidate, is one of the Founding Mother's-or Establisher of the Working Families Party of NYS. The Working Family parties roots are from Brooklyn, NY the original HQ started over 20 years ago-when families came forward to remind New Yorkers on the importance of the re-establishment of Trades Councils -including Construction and Automotive Care. NYS decided to reduce the High School curriculum by removing trade education from Mainstream High School settings. The Working Families Party with Eileen C. Dugan and our people-we brought forward the need to remember that careers from the trades with sustainable livable wages for families is needed regardless of relocation of these programs, said Maryann Maltese. NYS with NYC changed their Educational Curriculum focusing more on Regents-Humanities Programs and less focus on Mainsream High Schools Providing Trades Programs. I support including some of these programs once again at the Mainstream High School buildings where they can operate instead of dividing them-ensuring a sense of campus life and no division within the Educational Center. To prevent the sense of a Divide discussed recently in Fair Housing and other ways-a sense of Connection-cohesion needs to be reestablished, said Maltese.

With COVID 19 Social Distancing Educational Mandates in place this year-more of our young people will more than ever need to consider careers in Technology, Healthcare Trades and Auto, Hands-On practical Careers-in Healthcare, such as Nursing and Lab Technicians-these are not virtual oriented from practical stand point, said Maltese. These careers right here in the 12th AD are viable work opportunities for present and continuing education which will allow Working Families to remain on Long Island and within the 12th NYS Assembly District, said Maltese. We have the infrastructure to do so, we just need some funding and vision-I have the vision and resume to bring integrity and compassion to the Office of the NYS Assembly-12th AD.

Maryann Maltese, a Graduate of Western Suffolk BOCES-Northport, Graduate of CUNY-Queens College-UFT Scholar, also the daughter of Union Electrician understands the importance of funding Educational and Professional Opportunities provided by Western Suffolk BOCES and Trade Councils. While employed for the NYS Assembly, Maryann helped to secure funding for the Greater NY Automobile Dealers Association (GNYADA) and Funding for NYS BOCES programs at large demonstrating her commitment for those individuals interested in careers in trades, beauty, healthcare, automobile repairs and a host of other wonderful opportunities, said Maryann Maltese

If I'm elected to the NYS Assembly as a Member for the 12th Assembly District, it's without question that I'm committed to Working Families, as I'm one of them and my commitment will be to them in this 2021 Budget Discussions-to ensure that programs FINALLY in the 12th AD are Funded, created-upgraded with state of the art advancements to meet the challenges before us-distancing with Virtual-but more so hands on practical and mainly that the Legislator in the Seat of the NYS Assembly will provide "CARE and CONCERN" directly to the district-12th AD- something that has been missing here for quite a while. Maryann's career within the NYS Legislature and out of The NYS Legislature as a Former Communications Manager and Chief of Staff for multiple Representatives for the NYS Legislature-she knows how to zero in on what the priorities are and hit the ground running so our districts needs are taken care of, said Maryann Maltese.
