Maltese supports USPS, asks the Question-19th Amendment Stamp?

Open Letter to USPS and President Donald Trump;

As many of you know; I'm a strong advocate of Women's Equality in the Work place; and it's undeniable that Women within NYS Public Service Sectors (Legislative Branches) are still underpaid for titles and duties of performed work. During the month of August-while utilizing local USPS branches-the Commemorative Stamps recognizing Women's Suffrage Movement and the 100th Anniversary Signing was not available?

Dear U.S. Postal Master:

I am resident of Huntington, NY and have been unable to locate the Women’s Suffrage Stamps commemorating the signage of the 19th Amendment in August.

I visited a few nearby U.S. Postal Branches, East Northport, Deer Park and Northport-and these heavily utilized U.S. Postal Stations did not receive the stamps-why? Is the Regional Office’s the only physical place to buy them? I shop online as well-but Commemorative Stamps generally speaking are a big seller and keeps consumers using the U.S. Postal Service as their means of mailing source.

Many women in the district utilize the in-person customer service options at the Stations. We are the ones the U.S. Postal Service Marketing reaches-so these Stamps should have been front and Center this year. There often is such a nice display of other items consumers can buy-such as gift cards or holiday cards to include with their mail service requests-but we don’t have the 19th Amendment Commemorative Stamps on the biggest Anniversary of the Women’s Right to Vote this year in community Branches?

I realize that COVID 19 has delayed certain aspects of life-we all understand this-but as the U.S. Postal Service advertised it inside the Stations-it would have just been “right” to ensure the ladies of process can buy them-or someone who wants to give a special gift to a special lady.

I’m a Former NYS Legislative Manager-Regional Communications Manager-supporter of the US Postal Service I hope that you’ll take this letter as a sign of what is important in ensuring that access to these Stamps are available. With Social Distancing measures in place-many of us-enjoy patronizing the Stations-it keeps communications and the sense of community together.

It’s not too late for these stamps to be issued-as the winter holiday season is upon us and purchasing these stamps is a wonderful gift idea for collectors and for families.

Where do you stand on the issue-it's an open letter to USPS and President Donald Trump. Planning was in place for the issuance of the Women's Suffrage 100th Anniversary Commemorative Stamps at USPS-which validates the Women's Movement. In my opinion-that was precedent requirement to comply with.
