Meet Sparky the Fire Dog at East Northport FD Open House

The entire family is invited to watch the professionals at work and to find out what to do during a fire during the East Northport Fire Department Open House on Friday.

Several activities and demonstrations will take place throughout the day. The Open House will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. at the firehouse, located at One Ninth Avenue at Larkfield Road in East Northport.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about fire prevention and safety and emergency medical service operations.
• Watch a Jaws of Life demonstration.
• Watch a hands on smoke house drill, live dryer and stove fire drills and a fire police demonstration.
• Grab free giveaways.
• Get pictures taken with Sparky the Fire Dog.
• Enjoy refreshments
• Take home recruitment information (if you’re interested in becoming a firefighter.)
