Metro Mart Owners Open New Store

It's been open to sell gasoline for several weeks and now the former location of Elwood Automotive and then Lukoil gas and service station at Elwood and Pulaski roads in East Northport has opened as USA Mart following a renovation that created a convenience store space within.

It's owned by the same people who own the 24-hour on Fort Salonga Road in Northport. The new store has a wider range of grocery products. It also sells gas, E85 Ethanol fuel, beer, and coffee.

This store, too, will be open 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

The Town of Huntington Board of Zoning Appeals granted the owners a request use variance in March 2010 to convert the existing automotive service station with three bays to a retail convenience store.
