THE MUSIC MAN opened last night at the Northport Community Theater, receiving rave reviews and much enthusiastic applause from its opening-night audience! The lively and engaging story of Professor Harold Hill and his blossoming romance with the delightful Marian (the Librarian), and featuring the rest of the good folk of River City, Iowa, plays out in lively and innovative staging featuring the talents of our local community! The show provides a live orchestra pit, an amazing Quartet singing such familiar tunes as Lida Rose and Goodnight Ladies, singing (76 Trombones, The Wells Fargo Wagon, and Til There Was You which was made famous by The Beatles but was originally found in The Music Man, and many more) plus dancing, a gorgeous set and much, much more!
